LM: Character Design (Jean Valjean)

After abandoning the Les Mis fandom (and Deviantart) for about 5 years, I’m back (for now)! To start with, I decided to re-vamp my character design for some of the main characters in Les Mis. First up, we have the main character himself, Jean Valjean!

I based this design on the description of Valjean in the second half or so of the Brick (i.e. neat, wears alot of blue and a wide-brimmed hat, has nice white hair etc.). I’m quite happy with how this turned out, although I admit that Valjean should have been slightly more buff to fit his character description in the Brick. Also, my Valjean turned out to be slightly more fashionable than I intended. Oh well…
